It’s been recorded by numerous artists including Mississippi John Hurts famous version (called Aint No Tellin) from 1927, as well as renditions by Big Bill Broonzy, Jelly Roll Morton, Brownie McGhee, Odetta, Doc Watson, David Bromberg, and dozens more. It’s a standard in the repertoire of fingerpickers and a wonderful song to learn.
