Martin teaches “Donal Ogg” and “My Generous Lover,” both in “G sus.4” tuning. For “Betsy The Serving Maid” he teaches the basic melody then gradually adds bass notes, harmonies, chordal structure and percussive beats, finishing with a full performance of the tune. “The Coo-Coo Bird,” in “mountain minor” banjo tuning, is guaranteed to keep you busy for months!
