Culled directly from Steve Vais signature Ibanez PIA guitar, the DiMarzio UtoPIA bridge humbucker is a well-behaved beast. This pup is a thick-sounding one thats tailor-made for articulate lead playing. It delivers bold lows, robust highs, and lots of output. Its low-end response is amazing, which adds muscle and body to every note you play, while giving you an extreme level of control. The UtoPIAs upper mids are dialed back a bit, but dont think not for a minute that there is anything anemic about this humbucking pickup. In fact, at Music Bliss, weve found that its mids really snarl when you push it. The UtoPIA includes an attention-grabbing laser-cut baroque-style pickup cover.
